Trion World's Successful MMORPG Utilizes Gamebryo

 


RALEIGH, NC (June 18, 2012 ) - Nearly a year after release, Trion World’s flagship MMORPG Rift: Planes of Telara remains a success story in an industry dominated by World of Warcraft.

Rift: Planes of Telara, developed with the Gamebryo engine, launched in May of 2011 exceeding all expectations with an immense first month of sales reaching 1.3 million units. By January 2012, Rift: Planes of Telara had a reported $100 million in total revenue and remains one of the few MMORPGs able to sustain a monthly subscription.

Rift takes adventurers into a world of Telara where they can customize their own class and embark on epic conflicts.

The game features:

  • Six different character races, ranging from Dwarves of the Gaurdians to Bahmi of the Defiant.
  • Soul Attunement class system with 36 different choices.
  • Four PvP Warfronts, instanced battlegrounds where players from cross servers can battle.
  • Each player has the ability to master three trade skills, blacksmithing and apothecary, for example.
